Thanksgiving is Daniel Craig’s ‘favorite holiday,’ but he is not a fan of one staple dish.
“People say: ‘How will I feed my family on Christmas if I’m eating turkey?'” Craig said at the premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness. “What they don’t appreciate is that turkey is nothing special, it’s just a turkey.”
On Thursday, the actor took to Twitter to share a screenshot of his Thanksgiving checklist: “Wine, chocolates, turkey, wine, Christmas-card exchanges, and wine.”

Craig will host a special Thanksgiving dinner for guests at the London Palladium on Dec. 2. The actor recently told reporters that he will host a “very private” Thanksgiving dinner because he is a “difficult” guest.
“I’m not going to ask anybody to come and sit at my table,” Craig said at the D23 Expo 2012. “I’m going to come into the room and just sort of chat to the people in the room, and it’s going to be a very private event.”
At the premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness, Craig revealed that he has never been to his family’s Thanksgiving dinner because he “doesn’t think they’d let me.”
“For my daughter, I have just the one plate and a little bit of turkey,” he said. “For my wife and my brother and my nephew and my niece and my dad and my uncles all have their own plates of turkey and wine and they get to sit at the head of the table and we sit at the foot of the table and I go to the foot of the table for my own plate and I get to have the turkey and the wine. There’s no one sitting at the head of the table.”
After the premiere, Craig confirmed that he was hosting an extravagant Thanksgiving dinner.
“It’s the most extravagant Thanksgiving I’ve ever seen, so I’ll see how that goes,” he said. “I think it’s going to be a great Thanksgiving. I’m definitely going to be in the epicenter of this party.”
