Bold predictions for six top Oscar categories, including best picture, on which Moonlight has the biggest advantage, but it could slip.

Moonlight, the Academy Award-nominated movie written and directed by Barry Jenkins, won the Oscar for best picture.

According to the numbers published on Sunday, Moonlight edged out Gravity (12.5 percent) for best picture, while The Theory of Everything (11.4) and American Hustle (8.0) are closer to Silver (5.0) and Life (2.9).

Those three films are widely-respected nominees that have been nominated for the Oscar three out of the last four years. The list of contenders for best picture is updated here each year based on Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the Producers Guild Awards. The list includes films that have won Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

The five films that lead the pack according to the Golden Globe Award winners are Gravity and The Theory of Everything, American Hustle, The Theory of Everything, Manchester By The Sea, and Moonlight.

The only other films that have led the pack at the Golden Globe Awards are the superhero team-up films of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” as well as “American Hustle.”

The Producers Guild Awards announced the top five nominees for best director, and Gravity, The Theory of Everything, American Hustle, The Theory of Everything, and Manchester By the Sea are in the top five.

There are five films that are predicted to win the Golden Globe Award this year for best picture; “Boyhood,” “Hidden Figures,” “A Star Is Born,” “Moonlight,” and “The Theory of Everything” are the five contenders.
